MORGANA MORENO 4TET

Rooted in the rich rhythmic and melodic traditions of Brazil, flutist and composer Morgana Moreno enters a new chapter of her artistic journey with Espiral, an EP released in 2026, featuring Vanessa Ferreira (acoustic bass), Marcelo Rosário (guitar) and Vitor Cabral (drums). The music moves between Brazilian musical traditions, jazz and improvisation, with the flute at its core, shaping an acoustic and sophisticated sound driven by intensity, expressiveness and virtuosity. The project premiered at Marabá Jazz Festival in 2025.
 

Inspired by the ideas of movement and transformation suggested by its title, Espiral brings together original compositions that serve as a framework for collective interaction, leaving room for each musician’s individual voice and musical background to shape the performance. The result is a sonic journey where tradition, improvisation and experimentation meet, revealing a contemporary voice for the flute, deeply rooted in Brazilian music and open to different musical languages. The project reflects Morgana’s ongoing journey across diverse musical territories and international experiences.
