MORGANA MORENO CHORO 4TET

Morgana Moreno Choro Quartet is a project rooted in choro and Brazilian instrumental music, bringing together Morgana Moreno (flute), Filipe Moreno (acoustic bass), Marcelo Rosário (guitar/violão), and Rafael Toledo (percussion). The quartet draws on the traditional instrumentation of the genre, with acoustic instruments and a strong rhythmic foundation, while leaving room for a predominantly original repertoire.

Featuring agile and virtuosic melodies, syncopated rhythms, interplay between the instruments, and ample space for improvisation, the music unfolds through the dialogue between the four musicians. The result embraces the swing, energy, and spontaneity at the heart of choro, with its musical language serving as the guiding thread.
